In this interactive creative course, students learn the art of digital media design using type and images. Through project based learning students are inspired to step through the creative process for designing layouts for movie posters, the popular vinyl stickers used to decorate laptops and water bottles, and create a typography portrait. The course covers methods for online publishing of artwork and the use of industry standard Adobe design software: Photoshop and Illustrator. Students must bring a 2 gigabyte or higher flash drive to each class meeting. Beginning students will complete two of the three classroom projects, all attendees will take home one completed project print.
